The Hnidei's: August 2010

We got back in on a delayed flight from Orlando and got in the door around 1 in the morning. I will try and post pics and videos from the vacation but I bet with all the video it will take me the better part of the week to do so keep checking back to see all the posts.

Day 1 - Sunday August 22 2010
We were up at 4:30 AM for an early flight. We went to the Magic Kingdom for the first day.

From our hotel we could just walk out to our bus stop and wait for a bus to any of the 6 theme parks. It was no longer than a 20 minute wait at most! Rides were free (well included in hotel price as nothing is free).

getting inside was nice! Decent menu.

Video at Artisan Point where we had dinner. Very nice but the kids go soaked with a late
afternoon thundershower and the restaurant was cold. Food was great but ... Boat ride to get to the Lodge was nice and the lodge itself was nice.

Day 2 - August 23 2010 - EPCOT

Aleksei wanted to go on the "Orange" journey which is the more intense of the two journeys and yes it was more intense. I almost lost my cookies in the first 10 seconds and Erika was balling. She lived and I kept my cookies.

Day 3 - Tuesday August 24 2010

We went to Hollywood Studios today.

We then went to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Aleksei wanted to go there but when we got in and saw a video he started crying but he did do the whole ride and yes it was very scary for a 5 year old.

Aleksei and Erika were in line and selected to do the Jedi training academy which they would get training in the use of the light saber and get robes to wear and eventually fight the dark forces. Unfortunately due to the rain this did not happen. However they let the 20 or so kids go inside the "Star Tours" ride and meet Darth Vader and a couple of the storm troopers. It was rushed but coooool. The kids liked that.
